I am a qualitative social scientist, with expertise in participatory, practice-based, and reflexive research methods. My work examines how safety is accomplished in health and aged care, with a specialisation in infection prevention and control (IPC). My research is done in collaboration with health and aged care professionals, patients, residents and their families and carers, and has led to broadened understandings of safety, communication, and IPC; sustained practice and policy changes, as well as reductions in MRSA prevalence.
