GOLTC Red de Cuidados de Largo Plazo en América Latina y el Caribe/ Long-Term Care Network in Latin America and the Caribbean (LTC-LAC) Interest Group webinar

Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) is experiencing a fast process of ageing population and an unprecedented increase in the demand for long-term care. The region has responded to this challenge by implementing LTC policies and services in the past decade. Where is the region at in terms of LTC readiness? What can we expect in the coming years? What are the main challenges and opportunities for LTC advancements in the region? This webinar is aimed at contributing to the ongoing debate on LTC in LAC, particularly the reforms and innovations implemented in our countries, by presenting three cases across LAC (Nicaragua in Central America, Barbados in the Caribbean, and Paraguay in South America).
