Johanna Fischer

Johanna Fischer is a postdoctoral researcher at the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1342 “Global Dynamics of Social Policy” at the University of Bremen, Germany. After completing her PhD on the emergence and types of long-term care systems worldwide in 2021, she currently focuses on comparatively analyzing the inclusiveness and generosity of long-term care schemes and the development and exchange of ideas on elder care on the inter- and transnational level within the CRC project A07 “Global Dynamics of Long-Term Care Policies”. Her research interests are in the field of comparative social policy and politics and global social policy, including social protection for persons in need of care and informal caregivers.
