I have a study background in Religious Studies and Medical Anthropology which led me to do research on the spiritual wellbeing of older people receiving care. During my time at the NIHR Health and Social Care Workforce Research Unit, I have worked on projects including looking at the experiences of ancillary staff (cleaners, cooks, housekeepers) in care homes working during the COVID-19 pandemic, looking at the skills gaps in the social care workforce, and am now on a capacity building fellowship where I am testing reflective spirituality tools for care homes to reflect on care practice for people living with dementia.
