Do you want to connect with the global community of Long-Term Care?
Make sure you’ve secured your spot to attend the 7th International Conference on Evidence-Based Policy in Long-Term Care (IPLN2024), taking place from 12 to 14 September 2024 at the prestigious Euskalduna Conference Centre in Bilbao, Bizkaia, Spain.
Co-hosted by the International Long-term Care Policy Network (ILPN) (based at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)’s Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC)) and the Government of Biscay, this year’s conference promises to be an extraordinary event that bridges the gap between research, policy, and practice in the long-term care (LTC) sector. This conference will also include the launch of the new Global Observatory of Long-Term Care (GOLTC), a new ILPN platform to facilitate cross-national learning to improve and strengthen care systems.
Why Attend?
- Strengthen Connections: Engage with leading researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals dedicated to improving long-term care. Our conference is designed to foster meaningful collaborations that can lead to impactful changes in LTC policies and practices.
- Foster Research Collaborations: Participate in sessions and workshops that highlight areas with knowledge gaps in LTC. By working together, we can develop new evidence that supports innovative and effective long-term care solutions.
- Share and Learn: Take advantage of this unique opportunity to share your research findings and learn from others. Our programme includes a diverse range of presentations, panel discussions, and an exhibition that cover the latest in LTC policy and practice.
- Promote International Policy Analysis: Engage in comparative policy analysis with international experts. This will help us to understand different approaches to LTC and encourage the adoption of evidence-based policies worldwide.
Keynote Speakers
We are honoured to have an esteemed lineup of keynote speakers, including:
- Professor Norma Coe: Professor of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania; Director of Research at Penn’s Leonard Davis Institute; Co-Director of the NIH-funded Population Aging Research Center (PARC).
- Dr Stefania Ilinca: Technical Officer for long-term care with the WHO Regional Office for Europe; Senior Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health; Salzburg Global Seminar fellow
- Dr Joseba Zalakain: Director of the SIIS Social Information and Research Center at the Eguía Careaga Foundation
