Ka Ho Mok
Professor Ka Ho Mok obtained his MPhil from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and PhD from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Before joining The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong as Provost and Vice President (Academic and Research), he was the Vice President and Lam Man Tsan Chair Professor of Comparative Policy at Lingnan University (Hong Kong). Prior to that, Professor Mok has held leadership positions at various universities, including Vice President (Research and Development) and Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at The Education University of Hong Kong; Associate Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at The University of Hong Kong; and Chair Professor and Founding Director of the Centre of East Asian Studies at the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. Most recently, Professor Mok has taken up the role of Deputy Director of the Centre for Global Higher Education based at the University of Oxford, UK. Working closely with partner institutions, namely, University of Oxford, University College London, and University of Birmingham and Lancaster University in the UK, University of Johannesburg in South Africa and Asia Pacific Higher Education Research Partnership, Professor Mok and his research team is actively engaged in promoting higher education and social sciences / humanities research. According to Scholar GPS, an international platform highlighting research achievements, Professor Mok is named as top scholar in higher education research, being ranked 8th globally and 1st among his Asian peers.
