Regina Shih
My passion is improving the state of aging, caregiving, and long-term care policy in the U.S. With over 20 years of research experience, the common theme to my work is mitigating health disparities across the lifespan. My research skills are policy analysis, multi-level analysis of large datasets, study design, strategic planning, and program evaluation across topics such as mental health, substance use, dementia, climate change, public health preparedness, and census data. I have been continuously supported by grant and contract funding from the Department of Defense, private foundations, and local and federal government entities (ACL, CDC, PCORI, NIAAA, NIA, NIDA, NHLBI, NIMH, NIMHD). Before joining Emory Rollins School of Public Health in 2023, I served as the Program Director for RAND’s research portfolio on population health, prevention, social services, aging, disability, and the well-being of children, youth, and families.
