Leanne Greene

I have experience conducting social and behavioural intervention RCTs with people living with dementia and their caregivers, working across NHS, care home, and primary care settings. I have also led service evaluations in various healthcare contexts, including urgent geriatric care, fragility fracture pathways, and virtual rehabilitation wards.

My methodological expertise includes mixed-methods process evaluations and the application of behavioural and implementation science to complex healthcare interventions. I have a particular interest in person-centred and tailored research approaches for older adults, with a strong focus on dementia-inclusive methods. I am especially drawn to realist methodology, as it offers a nuanced way to explore how and why interventions work — or do not work — for people living with dementia and their caregivers, by examining the intricate interactions between individual, social, and contextual factors.
