The Universitat de Barcelona is organising a Workshop on Economics of Ageing on the 17 of April 2026, focusing on the intersection of ageing, health economics and health policy. The workshop aims to bring together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss the economic dimensions of ageing, including long-term care, care pathways, multimorbidity,  frailty, and other related topics

The workshop provides a unique platform for researchers working on the economics of ageing and related areas, including (but not limited to):

• Long-term care financing and delivery
• Ageing, frailty, and multimorbidity
• Health and social care integration
• Productivity, workforce, and ageing
• Equity and efficiency in healthcare for older adults
• Informal care and intergenerational transfers
• Evaluation of ageing-related health policies
• Technological innovation and ageing
