Call for papers | 2026 Workshop on ‘The Longevity Economy: Financing Healthy Ageing’
Ageing and Health Incentives Lab (AHIL) at LSE Health are excited to announce the 2026 Workshop on ‘The Longevity Economy: Financing Healthy Ageing’, co-organised with the Population Aging Research Center (PARC) at the University of Pennsylvania.
Date: Monday 29 June 2026, 11am–6pm BST
Submission Deadline: 1 May 2026
Professor Jim Poterba (MIT & President of the National Bureau of Economic Research) will be the keynote speaker, presenting “Financing an Aging Population: Public and Private Sector Perspectives”.
Researchers are invited to submit work on:
– Pension sustainability & retirement security
– Long-term care financing & insurance
– Housing, wealth & ageing
– Behavioural economics & financial decision-making
– Health, cognition & economic wellbeing
– Inequality in ageing societies
– Policy innovation for the longevity economy
We particularly welcome interdisciplinary submissions and research spanning both high-income and low- and middle-income country contexts.
