Health Affairs Scholar (https://www.healthaffairs.org/health-affairs-scholar), a well regarded open-access journal, has a Call for Papers relevant to GOLTC members.
Global aging: We are interested in papers about the policy, practice, and programmatic implications of the growing global population of older adults. According to the World Health Organization, the proportion of the world’s population aged 60 years and above will double by the year 2050, and approximately 80% of these 2.1 billion older adults will be living in low- and middle-income countries. The health of this ageing population has cross-cutting implications for governments, health systems, multi- and bi-lateral organizations, and civil society. We welcome papers that assess the myriad challenges, and those that analyze approaches to mitigating these. We are particularly (but not exclusively) interested in papers focused on the Global South and those that include cross-country comparisons or learnings.
