WZB Berlin, DIW Berlin, CenEA and the DFG-Research Unit “Labor market transformation” are jointly organizing a workshop on the economics of aging and pensions. The aim of this workshop is to bring together an international group of economists working in these fields, to present recent results and advances. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• design of the pension systems,
• employment at older ages,
• old age poverty and consumption during retirement,
• the organization of long-term care.

The workshop will take place on November 20-21, 2025 at WZB Berlin. Authors at all stages of their career are invited to submit research papers via e-mail (pension.workshop@wzb.eu) by July 31, 2025.

Accommodation and economy travel costs will be reimbursed if required. Economy class travel costs up to 400 Euros and accommodation up to three nights for participants presenting their papers can be covered. Please indicate in your submission if you wish to be considered for refund of expenses.
