In this Blog Post, Ruru Ping (Hitotsubashi University) shares findings from new analysis of the impacts of caregiving that considers not just the amount of hours, but also the daily time-use patterns of different groups of family carers.
The study also examines two different outcomes: psychological distress and subjective wellbeing.
The findings highlight the importance of taking into account cultural gender expectations when designing policies and services to support family carers.
