VENUE: SENATE HOUSE

With one exception (see below), the whole of ILPN 2026 — Wednesday 9 to Friday 11 September — will take place at Senate House, the University of London’s flagship building in Bloomsbury. We’ve moved the venue to Senate House to give everyone the best possible conference experience: it’s a stunning art deco landmark built in the 1930s, with excellent, purpose-built conference facilities, modern AV equipment throughout, and plenty of light-filled meeting rooms and social spaces for the kind of conversations that happen between sessions.

Geting to Senate House

Senate House, University of London, Malet Street, London WC1E 7HU. It’s a short walk from the LSE, next to the British Museum. It is served by Russell Square, Goodge Street and Tottenham Court Road underground stations.

TUESDAY EVENING RECEPTION — DIFFERENT LOCATION

Our welcome drinks reception on Tuesday evening will NOT be at Senate House. Please join us instead at:

Shaw Library, 6th Floor, Old Building, LSE (Houghton street, nearest tubes are Holborn and Temple).

6:30–8:30pm, Tuesday 8 September

From Wednesday morning onwards, all sessions move to Senate House.

 

PRESENTATIONS: WHAT TO PREPARE AND HOW TO SEND THEM

If you’d like your slides preloaded ahead of time, please email your PowerPoint to ilpn-network@lse.ac.uk by Friday 4 September. Otherwise, please bring your presentation on a USB drive on the day.

On timing: to leave enough room for discussion, we’re asking all presenters to prepare a maximum of 15 minutes for their presentation. A few sessions with fewer presenters may have a little extra flexibility, but planning for 15 minutes will help every session run smoothly and leave time for the questions and discussion that make these panels so valuable.

If you haven’t registered for the conference yet, please do so as soon as possible. To keep the programme accurate for everyone, papers from presenters who haven’t registered will need to be removed. The registration link is here.

We’re genuinely looking forward to bringing this community together in September, to three days of great research, good conversation, and (we hope) some proper autumn London sunshine.
