The 7th International Conference on Evidence-based Policy in Long-Term Care (ILPN2024) is set to convene in Bilbao, Bizkaia, Spain, from 12 to 14 September 2024. Co-hosted by the International Long-Term Care Policy Network (ILPN) and the Government of Biscay, ILPN2024 provides an engaging platform for researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals to connect, collaborate, and advance discussions on Long-Term Care (LTC).

ILPN2024 aims to strengthen connections between researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders. The focus is on fostering research collaborations that address knowledge gaps in LTC. The conference provides a dynamic space for the exchange of evidence on LTC policy and practice, emphasising international comparative policy analysis for better decision-making.

This conference will also include the launch of the new Global Observatory of Long-Term Care, a new ILPN platform to facilitate cross-national learning to improve and strengthen care systems. The platform focuses on sharing research evidence and promoting learning and collaborations through interest group activities, databases of expertise, projects and publications, as well as sharing accessible LTC country profiles and, very soon, topic and methods guides. All ILPN members are invited to join the new Observatory platform by completing a profile.
