I am a geriatric psychiatrist clinician-scientist based at the University Health Network and University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada. I am leading a research team studying the digital phenotyping of rest-activity patterns in people living in long-term care.
We are looking for people to participate in this study with expert knowledge in one or more areas of dementia care, long-term care, sleep medicine, geriatric medicine, geriatric psychiatry and/or behavioural health. You will be part of an expert panel to support the use of rest-activity phenotypes derived from a clustering analysis of real-time location (RTLS) data from a large dataset (n=1261) of people living in long-term care.
This Delphi study aims to reach expert consensus on the clinical relevance, interpretability, and actionable use of these RTLS-based rest-activity phenotypes, which capture multiple aspects of daily activity. By developing a standardized framework with clinically interpretable phenotypes and labels, the study seeks to inform both future research and patient care.
We invite you to participate in three rounds of surveys over the next three months, which will explore what clusters, labels, and clinical guidance should be included and prioritized within the framework. Each survey will take approximately 30 minutes, and up to 2 reminders will be sent for each survey.
Participation is voluntary, and you may decline or withdraw at any time without providing any explanation.
The first questionnaire is available to be completed from now until April 30th. If you wish to participate, please email andrea.iaboni@uhn.ca to receive an individualized survey link and further instructions.
If you know of any other experts who might be interested in participating in this study, please also connect them to me via email.
Thank you for your consideration of this opportunity. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the study.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. Andrea Iaboni
