Álvaro García Soler

PhD. in Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2013), Master in Behavioral Therapy from the Instituto Terapéutico de Madrid in 2006, he has worked as a researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and as a collaborator in projects with the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Álvaro has done research in clinical psychology on learning processes in the clinical context, behavior and cognition in the elderly, development of assessment instruments, and technological development of devices adapted for the elderly.

He is currently working at Fundación Matia Instituto as a researcher in topics related to the gerontological field: person-centered care model, dementia and behavioral disorders, personal development and wellbeing programs, creation and validation of assessment instruments and user-centered design, as well as in several national and international projects on integrated long-term care.
