Anke Witteveen
Clinically trained psychologist and epidemiologist with a passion for improving mental health across diverse and often underserved populations. My work focuses on the prevention, treatment, and neurobiology of common mental health disorders — including anxiety, posttraumatic stress, and depression — particularly among trauma-affected individuals, perinatal women, migrants, and refugees.
I have broad experience in clinical and population-based research, with a focus on randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and longitudinal epidemiological cohorts. My research integrates implementation science, global mental health, and maternal mental health, aiming to bridge evidence and practice within real-world health systems.
As a qualified university lecturer in clinical psychology and board member of the Dutch Psychotrauma Association (NtVP), I am committed to advancing trauma-informed care, evidence-based interventions, and interdisciplinary collaboration between research, education, and clinical practice.
