Beate Steurer

My academic background is in Sociology and European Studies. Currently, I am working as a Research project assistant at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, where I am also enrolled as a PhD student. As a part of my work at the Research Institute for Economics of Aging, I am contributing to research projects on digitalization in long-term care. In my dissertation, I am applying mostly qualitative, ethnographic methods to study personal and work autonomy in the context of third-party money management in long-term care institutions.
