Christos Kampolis

I am a Medical Doctor specialized in Respiratory Medicine since 2012. My clinical  work has focused on patients with systemic autoimmune disease and pulmonary co-morbidities and the management of patients with respiratory failure in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit setting. During the peak of COVID-19 pandemic, I was also one of the sub-coordinators of the COVID-19 clinic and the Emergency Department of “Hippokrateion” General Hospital of Athens.

Furthermore, I have participated as a research associate in projects funded on a European level in the field of chronic disease
management in multimorbid patients. I have also experience in statistics and am a teacher in three National
MSc programs focusing on respiratory and intensive care medicine.

Since 2020, I have been working as a consultant in Respiratory Medicine at the Emergency Department of “Hippokrateion” General Hospital of Athens. In recent years, I have been clinically involved in the “Frontizo” Integrated Care Program (https://iatreia.cityofathens.gr/programma-frontizo/), which is designed to support socio-economically vulnerable citizens of the Municipality of Athens who suffer from chronic diseases.
