Edelweiss Aldasoro
Edelweiss is a qualified medical doctor devoted to continuously improving care quality and experience. She joined the International Foundation for Integrated Care in 2018 to contribute to the creation of evidence, knowledge sharing, and adoption of integrated care. She is involved in a number of research and evaluation projects looking at innovative solutions to deliver person-centred integrated care. As the Head of the Integrated Care Academy, she supports the education and training activities at the Foundation to enhance people’s understanding and capacity for integrated care, enabling them to adapt global knowledge to local contexts. She is also one of the editors-in-chief of the International Journal of Integrated Care (IJIC). She is passionate about designing and developing approaches to integrated care and access to care for and with all people, with a special focus on neglected communities and complex conditions. Before joining IFIC, she worked as a clinician and researcher in complex conditions, including global health and neglected tropical diseases, rare diseases, multi-morbidity and ageing.
