Gisela Garcia

Gisela Garcia

Economist with Masters’ degree on Global Health and over 20 years of diverse technical and operational experience in international development. She has worked at the Bank in several capacities across Health, Gender, Social Protection and Poverty. Her most recent assignment was at the Independent Evaluation Group where she evaluated many health operations and lead the evaluation on World Bank Support to Aging Countries, assessing the relevance, coherence and efficacy of World Bank support to aging countries. Gisela has also contributed to the Healthy Longevity Initiative, for which she co-authored a background paper on the implications of aging for health and long-term care systems, currently under review for publication. Since 2021, Gisela has been providing operational support to health operations in Colombia, El Salvador, and Mexico. In addition to her multisectoral background, Gisela brings experience on Reproductive and Adolescent Health and NCDs.
