I have been working on the issues of elderly people since 1982. I started working at the University of Iceland in 2008 and am now an associate professor at the Faculty of Social Work and vice-dean.
My approach to research, teaching, collaborative networks and policy work has been in this field and in general in the field of social services, integration of health and social services, innovation and the implementation of changes, Nordic cooperation and as time goes by I have increasingly dealt with the issue of older people.
