I am a PhD student at SUPSI & University of Zurich researching the long-term care workforce in Switzerland as it relates to the challenge of turnover and the effect on care delivery. I recently finished a project Gute Pflege that used worker led participatory research to identify issues in the Swiss LTC system that create high turnover in the sector.
Currently I am part of a team to develop a “Care Manifesto” for Swiss LTC workers to articulate their concerns through actionable items and act as base document in social dialogue and public outreach. I am also developing a policy brief as part of the Swiss Learning Health System to suggest improvements in working conditions for LTC workers, which will be discussed with stakeholders.
