Javiera Romero

I am a social service worker at Fundación Alcanzable and a student of Social Work at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. My thematic areas of interest are at the intersection of housing and aging and in the implementation of social projects.

I have extensive experience participating in various research projects, as well as getting involved in different volunteering, initiatives and social projects. I have a strong interest in the world of public service and in team and interdisciplinary work.

Research interests

My main thematic interests fall under the umbrella of the Age-Friendly Cities approach, especially with regard to the phenomenon of housing and ageing in urban environments. I also have experience in formulating, implementing and evaluating social projects carried out with multidisciplinary teams and aimed at older people.
