Katja Prevodnik

Katja Prevodnik, PhD is a researcher at the Social Protection Institute of the Republic of Slovenia, where she focuses on long-term care research, particularly the implementation of long-term care reform in Slovenia.

Previously, she worked as a financial advisor at the Municipality of Škofja Loka and as a researcher at the Centre for Social Informatics, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana (FSS UL). At FSS UL, she was involved in several national and international research projects in information society studies.

She earned her PhD in social sciences methodology and has (co)authored four scientific papers in this field. Her research has primarily focused on:

  1. Social sciences methodology, particularly in survey research and data presentation.
  2. Information society studies, with an emphasis on digital skills and e-health, exploring the integration of ICT in society and its societal impact.
  3. Long-term care policy and reform, contributing to the development and implementation of long-term care systems in Slovenia.
