Kayla Benjamin
I am a PhD candidate in Health Systems Research at the University of Toronto, focusing on health and social care policy and systems. My research examines how care is organized, delivered, and sustained, with particular attention to the workforce that underpins it, including both paid and unpaid carers. My interests include the care economy, care policy and innovation, community-based care, care integration and coordination, and gender and care. I focus on outcomes for carers, workforce sustainability, and the development of equitable, evidence-based health and social care systems, drawing on qualitative, mixed, and critcal and comparative policy research.
