Megan Doheny
Is a public health scientist working as a post-doctoral researcher at Aging Research Center, Karolinska Institutete. Her research area is health service research with a focus on ageing, elderly care, and equity. I’m involved in quantitative research projects using primarily population-based register data focused on the organisation of the Swedish healthcare systems for the older population. Specifically, involved in post-doctoral project which focused on the expenditure on health care and elderly care in the last year of life. I am from Ireland and have been living in Sweden for several years. My educational background consists of a B.A in Economics, a Master’s in Public Health and Epidemiology and she completed a PhD project in 2021, titled “Socio-economic differences in the healthcare utilisation of older persons in Sweden” at
the department of Global Public Health in Karolinska Institutet.
