Institute for Life Course Health Research (ILCHR), Stellenbosch University

Moroesi Makhetha

I am a committed public health researcher and currently pursuing my PhD in Public Health with Stellenbosch University, and also a Chief Operations Officer of the Lesotho Alliance for Maternal Mental Health . I have experience in parenting programmes, adolescent sexual reproductive health, maternal mental health and HIV programming. With more than a decade of experience in managing and coordinating randomised control trials, feasibility trials and formative research and non-research- related projects, I grew an interest in working on child, adolescent, and maternal health and understanding their unique challenges. My research goal is to expand my knowledge in the public health field across various regions of Africa (e.g., Lesotho, Tanzania and South Sudan) and beyond.
