Nancy Zionts

Nancy Zionts, COO/Chief Program Officer, is responsible for the Foundation’s grant and program agenda. Areas of focus: Women’s Health, Aging and Workforce. She currently leads the Foundation’s teams for Women’s Health Inequity as We Age, Teaching Nursing Home Collaborative, and Long Term Care Learning Network. Over 30 years, she has been active in many Foundation initiatives including its women’s heart health initiative, Working Hearts, Closure and Caregiver Champions, Breast Cancer research, International Study Tours and the State’s COVID-19 Learning Networks for long term care throughout PA. She had previously led the planning for the Commonwealth’s transition to Managed Long Term Services and Supports/Community HealthChoices, as well as the Foundation’s Senior Connections Initiative. She has been the lead principal team member on federally funded projects for seniors,  and has been active in many of the Foundation’s initiatives the JHF Feinstein Fellowship On Death and Dying, Tomorrow’s HealthCare, and in the development of relevant publications including Practice and Leadership in Nursing Homes, Longer Lives Better Health: Helping Seniors Preserve their Physical, Mental and Social Well-being, Moderating the Effects of Aging: A Caregiver’s Manual, and Closure Community Conversations Implementation Guide. Ms. Zionts has been a member of Grantmakers in Aging for over 25 years and has served on the Board and many of its Committees and leads the PA LTC Policy Initiative
