Sergi Jimenez

Sergi Jiménez-Martín is a full professor at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Director of the BMiSS of the Barcelona GSE, senior researcher
at the CRES and Director of the La Caixa-FEDEA Chair at FEDEA (Madrid). Previously he had been a professor at the Carlos III University
of Madrid. He is currently Associate Editor of Empirical Economics and Cogent Economics & Finance, member of the scientific council of
Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy and Cuadernos Económicos de ICE and a regular contributor of NadaesGratis on labor and
health issues. His main area of research is microeconometrics applied to the labor market and the health economy, with emphasis on the behavior of individuals around retirement age and in a situation of dependency. He has published numerous articles in international
journals such as the Journal of Labor Economics, Economic Policy, the Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Health Economics,
European Economic Review, Econometrics & Statistics, Health Economics, Journal of Labor Economics and the European Journal of
Health Economics, as well as numerous contributions in international monographs for the National Bureau of Economic Research. Finally,
he has coordinated the publication of two books on dependency in Spain.
