Sunghun Yun

Sunghun Yun is a postdoctoral researcher specializing in health systems and policy research, and also works as a consultant in the Healthy Ageing Unit at WHO WPRO. Sunghun earned a Ph.D. and M.P.H. in Health policy and administration from Seoul National University, after earning a doctoral degree in traditional Korean Medicine. Sunghun has experience of practicing as public health physician in rural area and public long-term care hospital.

Research interests

Sunghun’s current research focuses on long-term care system esepcially in finding most effective and efficient way of supporting ageing in place of the older people, with the ultimate aim of achieving healthy ageing society. He is now interested in the potential inefficiency due to fragmented service delivery system, and believes that the tools to overcome this issue are patient empowerment, strategic purchasing, and technologies.
