Victoria Cornell

I am a social gerontologist whose research focuses on in-home care provision for older people, community connectedness, and the built environment and housing – especially alternative models of housing, and housing for vulnerable older people.

I am a member of, and previous Board member and Vice President of, the Australian Association of Gerontology, and instigated and was the inaugural convenor of the AAG’s Housing and the Built Environment special interest group. In 2022, I undertook the AV Jennings Churchill Fellowship to investigate alternative, affordable models of housing that could help older Australians to age-in-place.
