Professor Jeannette Milgrom is Professor of Psychology, Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences, University of Melbourne and was previously also Director of Clinical and Health Psychology at Austin Health in Melbourne. Jeannette established and became the Executive Director of the Parent-Infant Research Institute (PIRI), focusing on high-risk infants, ante and postnatal depression and anxiety, screening and developing psychological treatments for mothers, fathers and the mother-baby relationship. She has had international recognition for her work. She was a previous President of the International Marcé Society for Perinatal Mental Health (2014-2016) and was the International Conference Chair in 2016 ( Melbourne). In 2018 she was recognized as a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia. Her work with postnatal depression increasingly focuses on delivering public health initiatives and developing digital intervention programs. She remains a prolific researcher and was recently successful at being awarded a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Centre for Research Excellence (CRE).
