About the Care and Social Protection in Southern Africa Interest Group
The Care and Social Protection of Older Persons in Southern Africa brings together researchers, academics, policy makers, government officials and practitioners who are working towards a better understanding of the impact of social protection on the care needs of older persons within a rapidly ageing context in low-middle income countries. In this group, we consider national, regional and continental care regimes and we discuss how these provide support to older persons, caregivers and their households.
The group will organise webinars to facilitate engagement with different stakeholders working in this area so that we can discuss new thinking and best practices for the region.
