Are you interested in connecting with others who are using data science in long-term care research?
On Tuesday 5 December 2023, the new Global Observatory of Long-Term Care (GOLTC) hosted a webinar which brought together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to share and discuss the latest applications of data science in long-term care research. The webinar covered:
- Introduction to the Global Observatory of Long-Term Care and welcome (Adelina Comas-Herrera, Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC), LSE)
- Introduction to the GOLTC Data Science Interest Group (Sam Rickman, Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC), LSE)
- Presentation: Can we predict the need for long-term care? A case study of the Austrian cash-for-care system using administrative data (Ulrike Famira-Mühlberger, Austrian Institute of Economic Research)
- Discussion: What is the data science interest group and how can data science in long-term care research ultimately enhance the quality of care?
