This Blog post describes “A Gusto in Mi Casa”, a pilot programme carried out in a rural part of Spain that aimed to support people to age at home with greater safety, independence and well-being, by combining different forms of support according to each person’s needs and situations. Key elements of the programme were personal assistance, home adaptations, assistive technologies, coordination between social and health services, and professional guidance from social workers. The pilot was evaluated using mixed methods, suggesting positive impacts on quality of life.
